EARLY WORK
Before I first started writing, I was living in a country where there were no libraries and bookshops were few and far between. That has begun to change a little now, but in the nineties it was difficult to get hold of books there. I used to return from a holiday in the UK with books hidden in the lining of my suitcases and between my clothes, so they didn’t get spotted by the customs people.
My friend and I were heavily into fantasy epics then, which weren’t the easiest books to transport across the world due to their size, weight and number of books in some of the series. We read a few disappointing fantasy epics and decided we would try our hand at one. The idea was that I would write the first chapter and my friend would write the second chapter, but when it came to it she asked me to write the next one and she would write the one after that.
That continued until I had finished writing the series.
I’m letting you take a look at what I wrote. It’s a fantasy epic complete with a whole different world, maps, great characters, and an epic struggle against the forces of evil.
I’ll put a chapter online once a fortnight or so depending on the demand, so let all your fantasy reading friends know about it.
