I recommend anything by Helen Grant!<\/p>\n

Zom-B, and pretty much anything else by Darren Shan<\/b><\/p>\n

His books are perfect for Halloween!<\/p>\n

Hollow Pike, Say her Name, by James Dawson<\/b><\/p>\n

Both of these books are a great read and super spooky!<\/p>\n

Long Lankin by Lindsey Barraclough<\/b><\/p>\n

Cora and Mimi are sent to stay in great-aunt Ida’s scary old house in the middle of the marshes. But scarier still is All Hallows church where the ghosts of children killed by Long Lankin lurk. Not for the fainthearted!<\/p>\n

13 Days to Midnight by Leo Hunt<\/b><\/p>\n

8 murderous ghosts, Halloween and dark secrets have Luke running for his life in this great read!<\/p>\n

The Crowham Matyrs by Jane McLaughlin<\/b><\/p>\n

Maddy Deeprose has always seen ghosts, but in her boarding school lurks something truly terrifying!<\/p>\n

The Hunting Ground by Cliff McNish<\/b><\/p>\n

Ghost Knight by Cornelia Funke<\/b><\/p>\n

Jon has been sent to boarding school where he has to deal not only with the bullies, but also battle the ghosts – that only he can see!<\/p>\n

Anna Dresed in Blood by Kendare Blake<\/b><\/p>\n

Lockdown, Escape from Furnace series by Alex Gordon Smith<\/b><\/p>\n

A thrilling, gripping, scary read. It’s the first in a great series!<\/p>\n

The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman<\/b><\/p>\n

His family have been murdered, and Bod finds himself in a graveyard full of ghosts.<\/p>\n

The Accident Season by Moira Fowley-Doyle <\/b><\/p>\n

This one is not too scary, so it’s great for the faint-hearted.<\/p>\n

Zombies Don’t Cry by Rusty Fischer<\/b><\/p>\n

Maddy gets struck by lighting and wakes up to find out that she’s one of the undead. Somehow, Maddy never loses her humour – even when she’s being stalked by the evil Zerkers.<\/p>\n

Mortlock by Jon Mayhew<\/b><\/p>\n

A creepy Victorian horror about twins Josie and Alfie who were separated at birth. Now they are orphaned, they set out to find out the truth about their past.<\/p>\n

The Screaming Staircase, a Lockwood & Co Mystery by Jonathan Stroud<\/b><\/p>\n

The dead have come back to haunt the living and in this Victorianesque London where only kids with special psychic powers ca*n save the city. This is the first book in the series and they are all great reads! Soon to be made into films too!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
